The my new Skills in 2022: More Gymnastics skills like Front flips and back hand springs and front handsprings. Also how far I have gone with learning French on Duolingo.

My Favourite times: At camp because I had so much time with my friends in my cabin. At Gymnastics because I simply love gymnastics beacuse I can learn new tricks.

My Dislikes: I did not like the drive to camp beceause it was so bump and I was sitting near the back.

My Highlights: Camp beacuse it was really fun. Also Wai Fest because I loved all the food and performances.

Next year I hope to: Learn more Gymnastics skills and tricks. And learn more French so I can speak it fluently.

Why I will never forget 2022: I will never forget Camp because when me and my friends were in our cabin we were almost always laughing.

I am Proud of: I am proud of my Gymnastics skills because I have always wanted to do a front flip on the trampoline and now I can. Also my French skills so far because I only started this year and I have got so far.

My Favourite Subject: My favourite subject is Art beceause I love drawing a and being creative.

My Biggest improvement: Is starting Gymnastic this year and also doing it for a whole year. Also starting French on Duolingo because I have always wanted to learn French on Duolingo.

I will miss: The teachers because I have had a good time at Waikowhai Primary School and the teachers have always looked after me and the other kids. I will miss the school its self because I love the way that most of the class rooms connect in some way like buildings or outside for jump jam and in teh hall for assembly and singing assemblys. All the year sixes will miss the new Canopy, the new Bike track and the new Classrooms.

Celebrating Parihaka at school

Today the Friday 4th of November we Celebrated Parihaka and dressed all in white we made head bands to wear today here are the instructions on making a headband.

First we got a white piece of card and picked a straight line pattern to use on the headband part. Then you draw it on to the piece of white card and and once you have put it on to the  white card you then you use a permanant marker and trace the pencil lines so that you can see the pattern from a distance. After that you then ask some one to make it fit yout head annd then cut it and tape it together with double sided silo-tape then you get white fethers and stick them on in 1,2 or 3 feathers together. The feathers are a symbol of PEACE. Then you have got a Parihaka headband.

The Whole Syndicate Of Te Waka Ako Going To Auckland Museum trip

Bonjour bloggers.

On the 18th of October the whole of Te Waka Ako went to Auckland Museum. We where going to go to Auckland Museum because in Inquiry this term we are focusing on migration and so we went to the museum to look at ways of migration. We traveled from school to Auckland Museum by bus. We looked at Pasific lifeways with lots of Maori stuff to do with migration and in the pasific lifeways room we had a scavenger hunt with pictures and you had to find the country they where from and a fact. We also looked at Peter the Black bone T-rex and answered true and false questions. We went to the volcano room and went into the shaky house and watched the video and then went around the volcano room and looked throught all the stuff in there we also went into the volcano classroom and looked how  many volcanoes there are in New Zealand. We went to wierd and wonderful and looked at looked at everything in there. Then we went to the imaginarum and looked at all the animals standing inside of the glass the where so cute but they where in glass and they where no longer alive though I wish that they were still alive. Here is a slide show on what I liked in Auckland Museum.

Au Revoir.

Reported Speech

Bonjour Bloggers,

On the 30th of March 2022 we did some work on Reported Speech in writing .

First we got a slide show and we had 4 pictures on it the pictures where a Clown, Ballons, Fire fighter and a girl police officer. If we wanted to change the pictures we could if we did it quickly, and I got rid of the fire fighter and the girl police officer. Here is my work. Click on the picture.

Student Fun Day

Kia ora Bloggers,

On the 11th of March, we had a student fun day but it would normally be a Family fun day but because we  were in red light the parents where not allowed in school so we had a student fun day. If you slide down the super tall slide on your back you will get a burn on your back and it really hurts, but it can be a lot of fun. The school pool can be really warm but also really cold. But the slip and slide is the coldest of the two. The pirate ship was really hot and full of people so the house captins had to keep it to 4 people in at a time.

Growth mindset

Kia ora Bloggers we have been looking at growth mindstets in maths and we have been watching Class dojo called How to work your Brain like a mucle.  Here is the link to the website class Dojo but also you can search it up on youtube.

We also worked on a Lego slide show here is my working out. I struggled on the Times tables questions.
